ALBANY SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL (ASHS) OPENS FROM INITIAL CAMPUS
When resource consent delays meant the planned new Albany Senior High School could not be completed by February 2009 the innovative decision was taken to create an initial campus on the grounds of the existing Albany Junior School.
The purpose built, high quality temporary buildings of the ASHS intitial campus were completed to an extremely challenging nine month programme and were ready to receive students at the commencement of the 2009 academic year. Although classed as temporary, the learning environment provided by the facility is proving extremely successful.
Due to their unique modular nature the buildings will be able to be relocated once the permanent Albany Senior High School is complete.
