WORK PROGRESSING ON MALL AT THE BASE
The bulk of the structural frame for Stage 1 of the new mall at The Base shopping centre in Hamilton is complete, including the entrance canopy structure. The mall is planned to open in 2010.
Greenstone Group is managing this exciting project for Tainui Group Holdings. The 26,000 square metre, two level mall will complement the retail and commercial premises already operating at The Base.
The Mall will offer a fully enclosed, air conditioned retail destination with 60+ shops, a foodcourt, bar and café precinct and 800 underground carparks.
The Farmers Trading Company Limited (Farmers) has confirmed as anchor tenant, their new 8000 square metre store will be a flagship store for the company.
