Owner Representation

Where a project owner is unable to fulfil the owner’s leadership, operational and management role within a project Greenstone Group can assist by providing a senior Development Director and/or Project Director to take on specific aspects or the entire owner’s role in a project. We provide the owner with independent professional and strategic advice and represent the owners interests at all stages and in all respects so that the project objectives and deliverables are optimised.

The role requires a thorough understanding of the owner’s drivers and objectives, the ability to see all of the critical issues of a development as a whole and provide decisive project leadership. The role requires highly experienced and skilled management to assess the options and direct the project to maximise the outcomes and achieve our clients objectives.
Key owner representation functions include:
  • Providing independent, professional and strategic advice
  • Provide overall project leadership
  • Advising on organisational structure, monitoring and reporting procedures for the project as a whole
  • Participation with regard to the project briefing and the objectives sought
  • Procurement advice and guidance on contractual matters
  • Assist in the selection of project team consultants, contractors and suppliers
  • Attending key design, project control group and board level meetings as required
  • Establish reporting and authorisation procedures and facilitate communication lines between all parties to the project
  • Provide project leadership in respect of budget control, cashflow, contingency expenditure and general financing matters
  • Report on progress against project objectives
  • Advising with regard to contractual claims/dispute resolution
  • Consultation with stakeholders, user groups and authorities
  • Representing the owner throughout the duration of the project
