The Great South Rd corridor in Otahuhu was identified by the directors of Greenstone Group as a growth location and a watching brief maintained for suitable properties.
The Monument Motel site was purchased in October of 2003. A resource consent for a greatly expanded and improved motel was gained in October 2004.
